Ceviche with Cucumber

Great dish for summer. It is a refreshing meal.


1 1/2 pound fresh sea bass, halibut or mahi mahi  (cut in small pieces 1”)
1 red onion cut in slices
1 cucumber seedless cut in small pieces
½ cup celery finely chopped
½ cup fresh cilantro chopped
Fresh squeeze lemon juice to cover the fish (8 to 10)
½ cup ketchup
2 Tbs. mayonnaise
Sea salt to taste
Fresh black pepper to taste.
Lettuce to garnish


Place the row fish pieces in a glass casserole dish
Cover with lemon juice, salt and pepper and cover the casserole dish with plastic wrap. Put in the refrigerator at least 3 hours.
After 3 hours add onion, celery, cilantro, cucumber and toss.
Serve in individual plates, garnish with a lettuce and add some crackers on the side.  
Add some sauce over (optative)
Sauce: mix together ketchup and mayonnaise
Tip: if you want you can add some fresh semi-ripe mango.
